What happens
Jack Benny prepares for his first television show in New York, with Rochester, Mary Livingstone and Dennis Day in his hotel room. Later, in a recalled story, Jack is invited to dinner by Ronald and Benita Coleman, his neighbours in Beverly Hills, after returning from England. The Colmans seem unsure who he is, and when Jack Wellington, a guest they did not expect, arrives, the evening grows awkward. The Jack Benny program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on October 29, 1950, and Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris are in the cast.

Listen for: The awkward dinner at the Colmans' home, where Jack Benny arrives uninvited and Jack Wellington makes an unexpected appearance.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
