What happens
Jack Benny prepares to leave for his television show, but he cannot find his cufflinks and the day goes awry. Mary Livingstone waits in the den and passes the time with a library book, while Don Wilson comes to the back door embarrassed about a mistake he made on an earlier broadcast. Dennis Day drops by, and Phil Harris calls with news about his band. The story then shifts to a hospital admittance desk, where a nurse named Ora Myson is at work, and the book Mary is reading begins to unfold. The episode is from the Jack Benny series, first aired on March 9, 1952, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
