What happens
Jack Benny hosts a Thanksgiving-season broadcast in which he boasts to Don Wilson about his duck hunting, and the banter quickly turns to the duck-shooting tall tales and a dog that might retrieve the birds. Mary Livingstone gets a present of duck feathers, and Phil Harris arrives with tickets to a children's Thanksgiving play, The Courtship of Miles Standish, in which he has been cast as Priscilla. Dennis Day, an announcer and a telegram also drop in on the chaos. The episode is part of the Jell-O program, which aired on NBC and CBS radio in 1941, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
