What happens
Jack Benny is late to his own broadcast after a flat tire and a series of mishaps with his car and his driver Rochester. Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and Phil Harris are among the cast waiting at the studio, and Jack soon finds himself clashing with his announcer Don Wilson over the sportsmen quartet, a group of singers whose antics have wearied him over the season. The episode is part of the Jack Benny program, which aired on NBC and CBS radio, and it was broadcast on February 23, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
