What happens
Jack Benny hosts his Jell-O program from the Waldorf Astoria in New York in 1937, with Mary Livingstone and Don Wilson on hand. Benny is still defending himself over a violin dispute and wants to confirm the true age of a young violinist, Stuart Cannon, who played the B. Tensions rise between Benny and the orchestra leader Abe Lyman, who is filling in for Phil Harris, while Kenny Baker sings a number and an old acquaintance named Slapsy turns up. Benny then questions the boy at length about his age. The Jack Benny program first aired in the late 1930s on NBC and CBS Radio, and this episode is a 1937 broadcast starring Benny, Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
