What happens
Jack Benny closes the 1946 season of his radio show with a series of light, joking exchanges with his cast. He hands out bonus checks to Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and others, and the banter turns on gags about money and his age. Phil Harris is caught out over a drink, and Fred Allen is teased on the air. Ed Sullivan then arrives to present Benny with a Modern Screen award and tells the audience a little about the people who put the show together.
The final broadcast of the Jack Benny radio program for the 1946 season, May 26, 1946, on NBC and CBS radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
