What happens
Jack Benny walks home after his television show and finds his day full of phone calls. Dennis Day has been impersonating celebrities to tease him, first posing as Ronald Colman and then as Jimmy Durante and Eddie Cantor, while Jack's gardener Jerome, his neighbor Mary Livingstone, and his friend Bob Crosby also come up in the story. Jack Warner tries to talk him out of doing a television version of The Horn Blows at Midnight, and Jack is convinced his show has been praised by his fellow performers. Jack Benny's regular cast and writers fill out the episode, which was broadcast on NBC on November 22, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
