What happens
Jack Benny and his chauffeur Rochester have a flat tire on the way to the studio, and Jack later arrives there and goes about his day among the cast. Phil Harris, Cass Daley and Mary Livingstone all appear as Jack moves between dressing rooms, a barber, and a visit from his press agent Steve Bradley. Jack is annoyed about a $10,000 robbery and Steve announces a contest that will award prizes. This is the first part of an episode of The Jack Benny Program, which aired on NBC and CBS Radio on November 25, 1945, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.
A radio studio and surrounding streets in Hollywood, with Jack Benny's car, dressing rooms, a barber's chair, and the studio switchboard.

Listen for: Jack's running jokes about his age and his car, and the robbery and press-agent scheme that Steve Bradley proposes near the end.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
