What happens
Jack Benny tells his radio friends that he has traded in his old Stanley Steamer for a used Maxwell coupe, and his cast mates react with teasing. Mary Livingstone describes a bumpy drive to Santa Barbara in the new car, while Phil Harris and Kenny Baker add their own remarks. Benny's sense of pride in the purchase drives much of the comedy. The Jell-O program of October 24, 1937, on NBC and CBS, features Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris. The show also includes a comic sketch in which Benny plays a doctor in a parody of the film White Hospital, with Mary Livingstone and Phil Harris taking supporting parts.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
