What happens

Jack Benny visits the Naval Training Center in San Diego to broadcast his program before an audience of sailors. Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Rochester join him in the show's comic banter about the base. Benny recalls his own brief Navy service, including his grandfather's naval career and his enlistment during the First World War. Dennis Day sings, a Mexican quartet performs, and the program includes a sketch based on Benny's Navy experiences. The broadcast is part of the Jack Benny series, sponsored by Lucky Strike, and was first aired on March 30, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
