What happens
Howard, a patient at a sanitarium, believes he carries a shadow of death: whenever he dreams of someone, that person dies. Doctor Gerard, Marie and Mrs. Walker are caught up in his troubling situation as his condition worsens. Howard is released from the sanitarium and begins to show increasingly disturbing behavior. Marie and Howard drive out one night to a quiet cemetery where he speaks openly about his power and his fears. The episode is the Inner Sanctum Mysteries installment "The Shadow of Death," first broadcast on October 2, 1945, with Richard Whitmark in the role of Howard.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
