What happens

Sebastian Packer, a clockmaker in London, has spent thirty years hunting a particular clock and the man who murdered his father. Years earlier, his father was killed when a heavy black marble clock fell on him, and the clock is linked to forty gold coins from a poisoning in Cleopatra's time. Sebastian now works on the clock for a woman whose husband, Mr. Arnold, is expected back in town, and he begins to piece together what happened on that night long ago. The story is told in Sebastian's own voice as he reflects on the deaths that have followed the clock and the coins. The transcript ends before the full truth about the murder is laid out, so the resolution is not described here.

London, and later New York, centred on a clock repair shop and an antique clock in an Arnold house

Characters: Sebastian Packer, Andrew Arnold, Mr. Pettibone, Mr. Megaroid, Miss Arnold

Listen for: Sebastian recounting how the clock fell on his father and how the cursed coins passed from hand to hand

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
