What happens

Sean O'Hara, a long-haul trucker, picks up a hitchhiking young woman named Eileen on a lonely road near Moon Hollow. She seems to be a figure from his dreams, and their meetings grow stranger. Eileen asks him to haul three pine coffins, and he hears a local story about her family and an old mill house. Sean begins to doubt his own sanity as the night goes on, and the sheriff and a doctor appear to question him. Morgan's diner, the firehouse dance, and the ride through Moon Hollow are central to the story. The episode is part of the Inner Sanctum Mysteries series, which aired on January 23, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
