What happens

Reporter Colby travels to the isolated village of Christendary to investigate the disappearance of a missing hitchhiking couple and the local legend of the Brenda ghost. Shortly after arriving he meets the Brenda family, whose late patriarch Luther was found murdered in his study. Strange events follow as members of the family appear to die one by one while an organ plays a funeral march, and Colby is drawn into the mystery of the Brenda house. The story is part of the Inner Sanctum Mysteries radio series, first broadcast on January 17, 1949, and written by John Robert Lee.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
