What happens

Martin Wheeler, a middle-aged bank cashier, quarrels with his jealous wife Margaret before going out for a bowling practice. Driving through town, he stops for a young woman, Susan Holmes, who has fallen in the street, and offers to take her home. Her apartment is empty, and she behaves warmly toward him, but her husband arrives and accuses Martin of adultery. A struggle over a gun follows, and the story is set in motion by the events that unfold afterward. The episode is an Inner Sanctum Mysteries radio drama, written by Michael Sklar and presented with host Raymond, starring Santa Sotiger.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
