What happens

Norma Loring is tormented by memories of her husband David, who died in a cabin fire six months earlier. Dr. George Haynes, a close friend, tries to calm her, but she receives letters that seem to come from David, and each arrives postmarked from Tallwood, the place of the fire. Norma insists on going there, where she finds the cabin looking as it did the night of the blaze. Dr. Haynes and Norma meet David's brother Carl, and a postman named Ralph and a woman named Miss Frigley are drawn into the mystery as the story unfolds.

A town and the nearby cabin at Tallwood, where David Loring died in a fire.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
