What happens
Eric Keating, a man who has lost his memory, returns home after a train accident and finds that no one believes he was ever married or that he exists. Confused and frightened, he discovers that his grave has been dug up and that he is believed to be someone else. Detective Connors begins to pursue him, and Keating must try to learn who he really is. The story is an original radio play by Robert Sloan, part of the Inner Sanctum Mysteries series, first broadcast on June 19, 1945, and starring Myron McCormick as Eric.
A train, a house on Pine Street, a cemetery, a waterfront shack and a town near a railroad track.
Characters: Eric Keating, Mary, Ruth, Connors, George Drury, Richie
Listen for: Keating's shock at finding a stranger in his seat and his wife's house occupied by someone else.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
