What happens
Coroner Ken Griswold is shaken when his wife Ellen dies with no visible cause, and the death is recorded as unknown. Two days after the burial he believes she has returned to their home, and he insists to Inspector Al Hendricks that she is still alive. Ken pursues the mystery, retracing a train trip and questioning a cab driver and a hotel clerk about a man in a black hat and coat. Denson, Ellen's Carl, is part of the investigation. The transcript cuts off before the full resolution of the case.
Redmond County, a lake resort at Grandview Lake, and a town where Ken works as coroner

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
