What happens

Newspaperman Stitch Thompson takes up the case of Marco Chase, sentenced to death for the murder of dancer Mona Taylor. Marco's sister Gail is convinced of his innocence and pleads with Stitch for help. Stitch begins to dig into the evidence against Marco, which rested largely on a dentist's identification of a dental crown. The case grows more tangled after Stitch becomes the target of a package bomb. The series, Inner Sanctum Mysteries, first aired on October 3, 1949, and this episode is titled Catch a Killer. The lead actors named in the broadcast are Larry Haines as Stitch and Barbara Weeks as Gail.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
