What happens
Janet, a woman living in a walled family house with her brother Tom and sister Melanie, meets a lawyer named Richard Dunn in the garden. The episode is from the Inner Sanctum Mysteries series, first aired on March 28, 1949, with Charlotte Holland as Janet and Carl Swenson as Richard.
A walled garden behind an old stone house in the city, bought in Italy and rebuilt stone by stone, where the family lives in isolation.
Characters: Janet, Richard Dunn, Tom, Melanie
Listen for: Pay attention to Janet's dread of the family's curse and to the Florentine gate, which is said to open on its own.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
