What happens

Honest Harold, a homemaker host on Melrose Springs radio station KHJP, is known for refusing to let products onto his program unless they meet his listeners' high standards. After he cancels a shampoo sponsor over complaints, his employer's nephew, Stanley Peabody, puts him on probation and demands he promote Peabody as mayor. Harold refuses, and he is fired. He then turns to a plan to station policemen at school crossings, and his efforts draw the attention of Mrs. Carruthers. The Harold Peary Show, the series name, aired on 1950-08-23.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
