What happens
Newspaper editor Mr. Reed campaigns against a rash of crimes by a juvenile gang that has been making the front page. Teenager Bob Hobart, the son of a comfortable west-side family, is seen with one of the gang's members, Joey, and is overheard arguing about a date that he is trying to avoid. Bob's parents are out for the evening, and he is left alone at home. Bob is nervous about the headlines, and the Green Hornet is brought in to question him. The first part of the episode sets up Bob's dilemma and the gang's planned meeting place, which is as far as the transcript goes.
A city troubled by juvenile crime, including a comfortable home on the west side, a cafe, and a theater.
Characters: Mr. Reed, Bob Hobart, Joey, Mr. Hobart, Mrs. Hobart, Lenora Case, The Green Hornet, Miss Rassle
Listen for: Bob's nervous reaction to the headlines and the Green Hornet's questioning of him about the gang.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
