What happens

Political boss Harder pressures his aide Curly to secure the votes of the fifth ward before the city election, offering money to buy support. Meanwhile, the masked crime fighter known as the Green Hornet, with his assistant Kato, moves against the corrupt machine. Newspaper editor Reed and reporter Lori follow the developing scheme, while Bradford campaigns on a platform of honest government against Harder's organization. The broadcast covers the fifth ward dispute, a tense confrontation at a rally, and the pressure on Curly as election day approaches. The Green Hornet series aired on September 27, 1940.

A city in the midst of a close election, with its political machine, newspaper offices, a rally on the street, and a backroom meeting place in the fifth ward.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
