What happens

The Green Hornet and his valet Kato investigate a protection racket that is terrorizing small grocers in the city. A grocer is threatened, a jeweler who witnessed a bombing is shot down outside his shop, and the publisher Britt Reed becomes suspicious after a mysterious visitor named Miss Berry offers him a tip. The Daily Sentinel's reporters and the police follow the trail while the Hornet works to locate the gang's hideout and save a captured grocer. The case draws the Hornet's attention toward a mysterious woman connected to the Associated Grocers.

A city in the years after the war, including a grocery store on Grey Street, the police headquarters, the Daily Sentinel offices, and a small house on River Road used as a hideout.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
