What happens
Brick Reed, publisher of the Daily Sentinel and secretly the Green Hornet, takes on a rent-gouging landlord, Martin Keysby, after a tenant named Effie Adams complains about a 100 percent rent increase. Reed sends reporter Michael Axford to interview Keysby, who turns hostile. Axford then visits the Stone Avenue building and runs into thugs tied to Schmiggy Milton's old bootleg gang. Later, an explosion rocks a building on West 59th Street, and police find stills inside, tying the outbreak to illegal alcohol production. Reed sets out to investigate the Stone Avenue premises himself with his driver Kato.
A city in the 1920s-style era of illegal liquor, including the Daily Sentinel offices, a downtown club, Stone Avenue apartments, and a West 59th Street building.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
