What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, pushes his paper to expose a parole racket. Attorney Henry Waddles and influential John Q. Jarvis have been trading letters of recommendation for cash, and a young woman, Doris Melvin, has been trying to confront Jarvis about her brother's death. When Doris is struck by a car outside Jarvis's building, Reid is the first to reach her. Reid then sets a trap for the payoff at Jarvis's home, using his valet Kato and a secret ring. Waddles and Jarvis turn on each other, and the Sentinel's story takes shape. This is the second part of the two-part story The Ring of the Green Hornet, from The Green Hornet radio series, first aired October 7, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
