What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his secretary Lenore Case pursue a numbers racket after a small-time operator is arrested for murder. Reid offers a reward for information leading to the killers, prompting threats and a warning letter. When Reid is abducted by a gunman in a green cab, his valet Kato tracks the car to a hideout, where the pair must face the racketeers. The story follows the Green Hornet's efforts to expose the gang and rescue the publisher.
