What happens
Britt Reid and his assistant Michael Axford visit the Meade Sanitarium after patient Dexter escapes. Dr. Meade insists Dexter went out a window using bedsheets, but Reid finds evidence that suggests he left by another way. Reid's investigation leads him to Ralph Rudolph, who serves on a local committee arranging supplies for Italy. Reid learns that Dexter is Rudolph's stepbrother and that Dexter had once been considered dangerous. The Green Hornet, the masked crime fighter, begins to suspect that someone is using Dexter for a scheme involving the committee's shipping plans. The episode is part of The Green Hornet radio series, which aired on September 12, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
