What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, looks into the murder of Archie Gluck, a guard from Gordell Sanitarium, shot outside the newspaper's building. Gluck's dying word, "curtain," leads Reid and his secretary Lenore Case to the Curtin family, and to Galen Curtin, a wealthy man confined to the sanitarium. Reid's reporting draws a lawsuit from Lawrence Johnigan, Curtin's lawyer, while Reid's assistant Kato helps him pursue the matter. The Green Hornet series, with its crime-fighting masked hero, aired on June 22, 1948, and the story is presented as part of that run.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
