What happens
Publisher Britt Reid, secretly the Green Hornet, works with his valet Kato to unravel a murder case. Racketeer Dan Mendon's lieutenant, Joe Anacosta, is shot and thrown into the river, and a tramp, Jiffle Grey, is killed soon after. Jiffle's wife, Aggie, saw part of a license plate, and police check owners of the matching plates. Police Commissioner Higgins is a friend of Reid's and helps set a trap. The Green Hornet first confronts Mendon at his home, where Mendon and his henchman Clifty Miller have been laying out a shared alibi. The story is from The Green Hornet radio series, which first aired on October 8, 1952; the program's lead actor is not named in the material provided.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
