What happens

Michael Axford, a reporter for the Daily Sentinel, watches a plane crash at the city airport after its wheels fold and its motor cuts out. Axford tells Britt Reid of the Daily Sentinel what he saw, and a lieutenant seen leaving the hangar before takeoff troubles them both. Britt Reid, the Green Hornet, and his valet Kato suspect sabotage and set out to watch the airport on another night when a second official is due to fly. Inspector Martin prepares his own trap at the hangar, and the evening's events lead toward a confrontation with the men behind the crash.

A city in wartime America, including the city airport, a police headquarters, a newspaper office and an apartment building near the airport.

Characters: Britt Reid, Kato, Michael Axford, Sergeant Burke, Inspector Martin, Cassidy, Casey

Listen for: Listen for the lieutenant's uniform, the disappearing guard at the hangar, and the Green Hornet's car chase that leads to a hideout.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
