What happens

Reporters Axford and Lowry of the Daily Sentinel overhear that racketeer Lou Ellis is suspected in a killing at the Swankmore nightclub. Britt Reid, the young publisher, meets a nervous man who claims to be Jim Libby, brother of the murdered Joe Libby, and says Ellis killed his brother over a incriminating paper. Reid arranges a hotel hideout for Jim, then learns that Jim has been shot in an alley behind the Sentinel building. Reid and Kato plan to watch Ellis at the nightclub, where Ellis claims to hold a photograph of the Green Hornet. The Green Hornet, Britt Reid's masked alter ego, is expected to appear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
