What happens

Insurance advisors Dougal and Webster are challenged in court after pressing a poor widow, Mrs. Rivera, for a hundred-dollar fee for advice she could have had free. Publisher Reed runs an editorial warning the public against such advisors, and the men soon receive a note hinting that one of their clients knows the identity of the Green Hornet. Dougal and Webster begin questioning people around the city, and their suspicions fall on a roomer named Lund. The Green Hornet and Kato are following the same trail, and the episode ends with the Green Hornet confronting the men who wish to blackmail him.

A city in the 1930s, including a courtroom, the offices of an insurance advisory firm, a newspaper office, a rooming house on East 10th Street, and police headquarters.

Characters: Green Hornet, Kato, Britt Reid, Dougal, Webster, Mrs. Rivera, Reed, Lund

Listen for: The courtroom case over Mrs. Rivera's hundred-dollar fee, Reed's editorial, and the anonymous note about the Green Hornet's identity.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
