What happens

Laurie Lowry, a reporter for the Sentinel, looks into a strike by workers repaving Tenth Street, where the stalled job has left the shops on the block cut off from customers. The contractor, Brandon Meyer, refuses to speak with the press or meet his men. Lowry learns that an injured worker has been left with no compensation because of how his contract was structured. Shop owners on the street face ruin, and a masked figure calling himself the Green Hornet begins visiting them, demanding money in exchange for help getting the pavement repaired. The transcript breaks off during these visits, before the matter is resolved.

Modern-day city street where a repaving job has been stalled by a strike, with local shops and a newspaper office.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
