Britt Reid, publisher of the Sentinel, and his valet Kato pursue a taxi racket run by Wakeman, who forces cab drivers to pay fees and blacklists those who refuse. Reporter Michael Axford and editor James Reed hear that Wakeman controls the city's cab companies and their finance company, but lack proof. A cabbie named Potsy, blacklisted for refusing to pay, tells them of his plight. The Green Hornet, Britt Reid's masked alter ego, sets out to expose Wakeman's operation. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
