What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, secretly acts as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato. After financier Henry Marsden falls from his office window, Reid learns from Marsden that the company of John Rollins has been paying bribes to crooked officials. Reid confronts Rollins at night and pressures him to accept a merger with the Wendell Corporation, which would expose his dealings. Rollins then disappears, leaving a ransom note bearing the Green Hornet's seal. Reid watches the investigation unfold through his reporters, and the case becomes a tangle of false messages, police traps and a shifting ransom.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
