What happens
On Halloween afternoon, Lynn Effingham and his father Buxton Effingham search for costumes for the Effingham family's annual costume ball, and end up at a theatrical costumer on Water Street. There they encounter two crooks, Lou and Joe, who are planning a robbery. Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, attends the ball in a domino and mask while his valet Cato keeps watch outside. The Green Hornet series, broadcast in 1944 on October 24, stars Britt Reid as the masked crime fighter.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
