What happens
Britt Reid, a daring young publisher, investigates a series of suspicious events at a new war housing project beside an airplane factory. After an injunction halts construction, Reid traces the lawyer and his eccentric client, Mrs. Dorville Hunter, and a mysterious man called Professor Fredericks. With his valet Cato, Reid follows the trail through the city to a hidden sewer near the factory's water main, where he confronts the Professor. The Green Hornet series, first broadcast on October 3, 1943, stars the leads of the program in its episode of the same name. Reid's pursuit draws him into a tense and dangerous situation beneath the streets.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
