What happens
Britt Reid, the publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Cato investigate a series of attacks on the home front. A truck driver is hijacked and killed for a load of waste paper, and two Civil Air Patrol men are murdered at a local airfield before a reconnaissance plane is stolen. Reid begins to suspect that strange fires breaking out in the northern woods are linked to these crimes. Gayle Manning, a reporter from the Sentinel, is in danger after she goes into a novelty shop, and Reid, wearing the mask of the Green Hornet, races to find her. The Green Hornet series aired on radio, and this episode was first broadcast on November 21, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
