What happens

Britt Reid, a young publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato, looks into a gambling case against Blackie Doyle. The district attorney, Fremont, holds evidence against Doyle, but Doyle holds an IOU for twenty thousand dollars apparently signed by Fremont's son, Howard, who denies gambling. Fremont decides to resign, and Reid and Kato head to Doyle's roadhouse on River Road. The Green Hornet series aired on Thursday nights, and this episode was first broadcast on September 20, 1945, on the Michigan Radio Network.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
