What happens

Britt Reed, the Green Hornet, and his companion Kato face a plot by escaped killer Jack Ludlow, who holds a grudge against attorney Calvin York and the Hornet, who helped capture him. Ludlow, aided by an accomplice, sets out to frame the Hornet by wearing a mask like his. Police guard York's home, and a telephone call draws the officer away from his post. Sergeant Burke and his men investigate the murder of York's wife and seek to identify who is responsible. Newspaper headlines and a large reward for the Hornet's capture raise the stakes as the Hornet works to clear his name. The broadcast of this episode was carried by KRLD in Dallas, on January 29, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
