What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel and secretly the Green Hornet, is frustrated with police commissioner Higgins over Marty Thurber, a hoodlum they cannot convict. After an accident outside the city club, a dying man's letter implicates real estate man Edward Bixby in a loan racket that drove him to theft and suicide. Reid's secretary Lenore Case takes notes on the story while Reid plans a way to turn Thurber against Bixby. The Green Hornet's scheme is set in motion that evening, with Kato waiting outside. This is an episode of The Green Hornet, first broadcast on April 27, 1948.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
