What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Sentinel and secretly the Green Hornet, investigates a gang that strips new cars of their accessories and parts, a racket run partly by schoolboys. The Sentinel publishes his editorial calling for action, and prosecutor Roscoe Dalton vows to break the ring. Soon Dalton is found dead after a fall from a trapeze at Moose Martin's gymnasium, and Reid suspects foul play. Cato, his valet, helps as Reid pursues the gymnasium owner, Moose Martin, for information. This episode of The Green Hornet aired on September 23, 1947.

A city with a daily newspaper, the Sentinel, where Britt Reid runs the paper, and its gymnasium, police headquarters and airport.

Characters: Britt Reid, Cato, Mike Axford, Roscoe Dalton, Sergeant Burke, Moose Martin, Red, Peep

Listen for: Reid's suspicion that Dalton's death was not a heart attack, and Moose Martin's shifting statements to the police.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
