What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, is asked by Mrs. Thorndike to help cover the theft of over $20,000 in charity money meant for a Christmas dinner for the city's poor. Police Commissioner Higgins has been keeping the robbery quiet, and the four office employees are the only suspects so far. Reid soon learns that a coat found in an alley belonged to a dead criminal, and he begins to question the staff in his own way as the Green Hornet. The Green Hornet series aired its episode Dead Man's Topcoat on December 23, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
