What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, is an influential newspaper man who has been attacking Commissioner John Anderson over missing public funds. After Anderson takes his own life in his office, Reid's reporter Michael Axford learns that a blacklisted newspaperman named Cleve Born had been visiting the commissioner. Reid, working in secret as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato, follows Born and his associate Gorham, who runs a gambling roadhouse. Reid's investigation pursues the corruption spreading through city hall and the money that Anderson had taken.

A city in the late 1940s, including the city hall, the Daily Sentinel newspaper office, the Anderson home, Gorham's roadhouse outside the city limits, and Reid's luxurious apartment with its hidden passage to the Green Hornet's car.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
