What happens

Brit Reid, publisher of the Sentinel, pushes his reporter Lee Lauer to expose a corrupt contractor, Hudson, whose substandard materials are blamed for a building collapse that killed several people. Lauer finds that a leak inside the newspaper office is passing his sources to the rival Clarion, and the paper's suspicions turn toward Reid's own staff. Reid's secretary Casey is away, and a substitute takes his calls while the investigation tightens. The story follows the pressure on the city's building officials and contractors as tensions rise inside the newspaper. Narrated by a dramatic announcer as part of the Green Hornet series, this 1950 episode aired on June 6, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
