Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate after a sailor named Dennis vanishes following a night at a waterfront bar. Reporter Larry Reed and Kevin Kavanaugh of the Sentinel also follow the trail on the waterfront. This episode of The Green Hornet first aired on May 30, 1942.

A waterfront port city, including a tidewater inn, a remote island hideout, and the wharf where the ship Black Star is preparing to sail.

Characters: Britt Reid, Kato, Dennis, Larry, Gail, Mr. Reed, Mr. Gunnigan, Kevin Kavanaugh

Listen for: The exchange in which the saboteurs reveal that the camera is a container for nitroglycerin, and Kavanaugh's tip about a suspicious man entering the back door of the bar.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
