What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, investigates a murder on a city-bound express train, where a man is found dead in a Pullman compartment. Reid, aided by his valet Cato, links the crime to Professor Breslau through a set of doodled triangles on a timetable and an envelope. Reid and Cato search the professor's house, leaving a Green Hornet seal on the desk as a warning. The Green Hornet confronts the professor and his associates in the study, where tensions over payment and suspicion among the group come to a head. The Green Hornet is a radio adventure series, and this episode first aired on January 2, 1945.

A city in the 1940s, including a Pullman train, a newspaper office, a professor's study, and a darkened house and vacant lot in the city.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
