What happens

On the morning of Marjorie's wedding in Summerfield, George Gildersleeve prepares to give the bride away with great composure, though small mishaps keep piling up. His collar button rolls under the dresser, his ice cream order has not arrived, and his nephew Leroy's tailoring job goes awry. Friends and relatives gather at the house, and Mr. Thompson and Martha arrive, while Marjorie is missing from her room. The Great Gildersleeve is a radio comedy series of the period, heard on NBC on May 10, 1950, with Harold Peary in the title role, Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph and Lurene Tuttle.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
