What happens
Leroy Gildersleeve receives a large puppy named Tiny as a Christmas gift from his friend Piggy. Uncle Gildersleeve, Bertie and Marjorie soon find the dog unmanageable, as Tiny chews through household items, wrecks the Christmas tree and causes trouble in the kitchen. Leroy tries to train him, but the dog keeps getting into mischief. Uncle Gildersleeve, worn out, orders Leroy to find the dog a new home, and the family attempts to pass Tiny along to others. The episode is part of the NBC series The Great Gildersleeve, first broadcast on December 28, 1941, starring Harold Peary, Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph and Lurene Tuttle.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
